The Hotel Dog

Sammy must be the most famous dog in the Alpujarras, if not in the whole of Spain. Her photo is all over the internet and on Facebook. She has walked with all nationalities all over these mountains; many people say she directed them on the right track and even saved them from getting lost. They say what good company she is and how she enjoys sharing a picnic. She is not always impeccably behaved because she can’t resist temptation when cats or ibex are within smelling distance; but on the whole she just enjoys a good walk. Now she is seven years old and slowly going blind one wonders whether it will be the blind leading the sighted over these mountain trails.
